Oh Hell

In Ladies' Class the other night, we were joking (horribly) about the awful cards that could be made/sent to non-Christians or those who are struggling, etc.  (Our class sends get well, sympathy, birthday, missed you, etc. cards to practically everyone.)

***Remember, we were being silly and I'm not judging anyone who may come across this post.***

Some of the ideas were, "Turn or Burn" and "Read it and Weep." You get the idea.  Well today, Diane was talking about a billboard she'd seen and I it made me laugh so hard that I nearly wet myself... so I had to see it for myself.  I searched all over google and never found it, but I did come close.  So I give you:

Jessie, for you:

Well...  Well, I don't even know what to blog about.  Things have been pretty low-key around here.  Especially since Elayna and I have been sick the past few days.  No, take that back.  EV was sick all of two days, I'm going on four.  I think she may have picked something up from the gym's daycare.  And then gave it to me.  Ugh!

On a good note, I ran 2 miles today!  That's right!  Two. Whole. Miles.  My goal nearly a month ago was to be able to run at least 30 minutes.  I'm now just past 20.  When I reach 30, I think I'll bump it up to 45 and maybe start participating in local runs.  How exciting.  Anyway, I thought if I went to the gym, I might feel better.  And I did-- while I was running and lifting weights. Then as soon as we got home and ate lunch, I crashed.  Thank the heavens above that Elayna let me sleep for 4 hours while she happily and silently played in her crib.  Renee's out in town with her right now.  When I got up from the nap, she and Randy very willingly took her off my  hands for a few hours.  I was able to take a niiice long relaxing bath and just chill for a few hours.  I love living near grandparents.

... uh, more later.  It was great talking to you!

Have You Seen?

Anyone recognize this girl?  She was last seen joining the Peace Corps.

Or how about this guy?  He was spotted at a local gas station buying more than a dozen bags of puffy cheetos and five cases of Gatorade.

If I were in the 80's and decided to get Glamour Shots.  I imagine they would closely resemble something like this.  Gag.

You NEED to yearbookyourself.com now.  And when you do, I want to see the pics posted on your blogs or email them to me!

Redo Please

If I could have a school redo, I want to go to the Ron Clark Academy.

This Just Ain't Right

So, Reece (my too-cool-for-his-own-britches brother-in-law) told me about this website called People of Walmart and how candid pictures are taken of random (OR not so random) people and posted on the site.  I, for one, am not fond of the idea of taking unsolicited photos of others... but some of these pictures are so freakin hilarious, I'm making an exception.  Check it out and get ready for your face to hurt b/c you're laughing uncontrollably, wishing you were the one who had witnessed these people in person... or perhaps because you have been in their shoes before... or better yet b/c you wish you were in their shoes.  Okay, not really on that last one, but seriously snuggie and crocs?  It just doesn't get better than that.  I'm now on a mission.  Maybe I can bring back puffy bangs or the side ponytail. Oh the possibilities!

Real Simple

If you're like me, you're very practical and try to make as many uses possible out of as few items as necessary.  Buy things that have multiple purposes.  Definitely buy them on sale, discounted, or even "used."  The name of the game is, "Don't Spend That Dime."  (My favorite mother-in-law informed me today that I am difficult to Christmas shop for since there's not really anything I want and all cash gifts tend to go towards groceries and bills.  I'm just a very inexpensive, un-foofoo gal.  What can I say.)  So tonight, while I surf the web, waiting for my husband to get to work so we can email one another, I find this awesome article, "101 New Uses for Everyday Things."  Folks, this is right up my alley.  Check it out.  You'll definitely learn a penny-saving thing or two.  And be sure to browse through the website for other interesting things.  If you find something noteworthy, leave me a comment with the link so I can be sure to check it out.  Thanks!
