backyard mess

I feel for you now, Randy. (The year we lived in Melber, Dax & Libby reaped total havoc on Randy's prized, precious backyard. It got to the point where he stopped filling in all the holes the dogs had dug until after we moved to Washington.) Since it's not raining as much (kinda, not really), I've been letting the dogs spend more time outside. When I went out to take photos of the dogs' holes, Dax was following me, standing between me and the holes, like, "What are you doing by our holes. You're not going to fill them in are you? We've worked so hard to get them this deep." What a ham. They love to dig. We're surprised and grateful that Libby hasn't taught Dax how to dig out of the yard and run away, which is her favorite past time from living in Colorado with Ryan.

They BEG to go out, especially in this cooler weather. They love to watch the neighborhood. There are a couple kids who are always playing in the backyards. Ryan and I get a real kick out of it because 99.9% of the time, they're playing Star Wars, complete with lightsabers and cloaks. Anyway, the dogs watch them play and run along side when the kids run from yard to yard. These dogs are so social.
