Airport Haul
You can't even see all the baggage. There's another bag underneath all of that, a toddler strapped to my back in a mei tei, and I'm juggling paperwork. I love my Inglesina stroller. That thing is a hoss. Rachel helped me fit it to haul a full size suitcase, toddler car seat, backpack, second checked bag, and my huge purse. Yes, we did get quite a few stares walking through the airport, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. It was pretty difficult not having Eeooch in Seattle to help us collect everything, reload, get our rental car and settle into the hotel room. And who's genius idea was it to make cars with the auto/manual option? Why? Seriously.
But we made it. Our room is fantastic... other than the very strong, I repeat very strong smell of curry that is lingering in every pore of every THING in the room. Good thing it's not 90+ degrees and we can leave the windows open to help air the place out. We have a bathroom (of course), kitchenette, huge living/dining area, and separate king bedroom. Both the living and bedroom have their own cable tv and air conditioners. I almost feel like royalty. Indian royalty.

She's a Natural
With Mooma's help, we put away 20 pints and 5 quarts of corn.
***"Mooma" is Elayna's name for Renee, which was going to be "Grandmother" but Elayna saw fit to change it. We all think it's hilarious and Renee loves being a Mooma.***

Butterfly Kits & More
This site looks so cool! If we weren't flying out to WA for three weeks, I'd totally be ordering at least three different kits for Elayna. I still reminisce about my kindergarten class's butterflies and made a promise that my children would raise caterpillars into butterflies and release them every summer. Well that didn't happen this year, but I'm really looking forward to sharing my fascination with Elayna & Cora next year... and every year after that.
If you've done this before, I'd love for you to leave a comment with any helpful advice you might have (ahem, Candice). Is there a supplier you just love or any tips/tricks to raising butterflies?

Cora Lise in 3D
Here are the ultrasound pics from my appointment today. We weren't able to get a really good clear portrait shot because the umbilical cord was jumbled in front of her (no worries, it's not wrapped around her neck). So I've been rescheduled for a repeat 3d ultrasound session when I get back from WA. Some of these can be very confusing... it's just the cord. And her foot. She was bent in two for most of the session with her feet at her ears.
Apparently her nose won't be such a honker after her cheeks fill out. She currently weighs 2lbs 11oz. And I'm beginning to fear we'll have another baby sumo on our hands.
Look how pouty those lips are. Just like Elayna.
Look how long those toes are! (Definitely aren't mine.)
